Listing quality

Listing Verification Policy

Snap Israel labels a listing as verified only after key identity and contact details have been checked; verification is not an endorsement, licence check or guarantee of service quality.

Every listing shows its information source and freshness. Unverified listings remain clearly labelled so visitors know to confirm important details.

What may be checked

  • Business name and category.
  • Public address or stated service area.
  • Telephone number, website domain, email or social profile.
  • Map coordinates and whether they correspond to the published street address.
  • Whether the business appears to be operating or has reported closure.

Verification labels

Verified means key details were checked by Snap Israel and a last-checked date is recorded. Claimed by owner means the listing is linked to a registered owner account, not that every claim has been independently verified. Community directory listing means it has not been claimed or given the verified label.

Sources and limitations

Checks may use information supplied by the business, its official website or social accounts, direct contact, maps, government or professional registers where relevant, and reputable public sources. Details can change after checking. Users should confirm price, availability, opening hours, licensing and suitability directly with the business.

Duplicate and closed listings

Probable duplicates are compared using names, phone numbers, domains, addresses and map locations. Confirmed duplicates are consolidated into one canonical listing with a redirect where possible. Closed businesses may be labelled, archived or removed from active results while an audit record is retained.
