The role
Forter sells two products, Chargeback Recovery and Dispute Management, that win back money large merchants lose to chargebacks with little manual effort. It wants a Senior Product Manager in Tel Aviv to run this area from end to end, reporting to the Product Director, Risk Platform. You set the plan for how Forter takes in disputes from payment service providers (PSPs), assembles and files evidence, and recovers revenue, including a move toward in-house dispute capabilities and more PSP integrations. Engineering and Decision Science are your partners in building the product, while Customer Success, Implementation and Sales help you take it to market.
What you will do
- Set the vision and long-term roadmap, deciding when to build or partner, what to automate or keep manual, and where to invest in customer experience.
- Own all of the product: the merchant interface, dispute ingestion through webhooks, APIs and batch or SFTP files, dispute submission, the evidence recommendation engine, automation rules, the evidence API and letter generation.
- Decide how Forter links up with direct PSPs and processors so it can take in and contest chargebacks at scale.
- Lead development of the Dispute Agent and other AI features, finding where multi-step AI can take over manual work and turning that into features with measurable savings.
- Run each release from requirements to internal training, rollout, adoption tracking and feedback.
- Chair a regular product council on Dispute Management with go-to-market colleagues.
- Be the main product contact for Customer Success, Implementation, Presales and Sales, supporting big deals through to go-live and stepping in on escalations.
- Hold recurring product meetings with strategic enterprise merchants.
- Own everything written about the product, from the Help Center and public docs to courses, internal enablement and implementation playbooks, for merchants on covered, uncovered or mixed models.
- Create one-pagers, ROI frameworks and presentations with Product Marketing that show a merchant's CFO what recovery is worth.
What you need
- Proven experience of chargebacks and disputes, ideally at or closely with large online merchants, PSPs or dispute vendors, including representment, reason codes, card network programs and how dispute data travels between issuers, acquirers, PSPs and merchants.
- 5 or more years of B2B SaaS product management, having owned a domain, shipped complex features and delivered commercial results.
- Comfort writing requirements for integrated systems and taking part in technical design reviews. You need not be an engineer, but should understand webhooks, APIs, batch files and third-party integrations.
- Excellent written and spoken communication with technical and non-technical people worldwide, up to C-suite level.
- High autonomy, firm prioritization across competing demands and strong personal accountability.
