Product Designer (9-month Maternity Cover) at Taboola

The role

Taboola is hiring a Product Designer for the Taboola News team in its Tel Aviv office. This is a fixed-term maternity cover lasting 9 months. Taboola News is a B2B2C product, a mobile content discovery experience used daily by millions of people on devices from major phone makers (OEMs) and carriers. Designs must therefore work for two goals: an experience people like and return to, and revenue for the OEM partners. You take one product area from end to end with Product, Engineering, Data and those partners.

What you will do

• Be the designer responsible for one Taboola News product area, working with its business teams, PMs and R&D.
• Get up to speed quickly on projects already under way, and carry them through to launch.
• Design main flows from concept to prototype to developer-ready files, using the Taboola News design system.
• Carry out user research and usability tests, and base design decisions on the results.
• Track features after launch and improve them using quantitative and qualitative data.
• Collaborate closely with fellow designers, sharing problems, research methods and findings.

What you need

• 3 or more years of product design, with a portfolio of consumer mobile products that raised engagement and retention.
• Hands-on skill from early ideas to polished delivery, using AI tools to reach prototypes faster.
• Experience of user journeys, conversion funnels and UX research, with decisions based on qualitative and quantitative data.
• Product thinking: telling what matters from what does not and weighing choices against user and business impact. Taboola expects a designer to be about 30% PM.
• A bachelor's degree in design.
• Strong spoken and written English.

Nice to have

• Designing for carrier, OEM or device-level surfaces, for example home-screen feeds, widgets or lock screens.
• Ad-based products and the UX of ad monetization.
