Product, AI & Data Protection Counsel at Wiz

The role

Wiz, the cloud and AI security company now part of Google, wants a Product, AI & Data Protection Counsel for its Legal department in Tel Aviv. You would be on a specialist team with members in Israel and the US, advising the people who build the products on the legal questions that come up as those products are developed and released.

What you will do

• Advise Product and R&D on data protection, regulatory, commercial and legal matters at each stage of a product's life.
• Identify, reduce and manage risks connected with the product lifecycle, and act as the go-to expert on product issues.
• Give a legal review of each new product and feature.

What you need

• An LLB or equivalent law degree.
• At least 2 years as a product counsel or in a similar position.
• Fluent English.
• A technical understanding of software and how it is developed.
• Knowledge of privacy, data protection and intellectual property law, as well as practical topics such as export control, AI and open-source software.
• The ability to work with Product, R&D and Security teams, explain legal requirements to non-lawyers and find workable solutions.
• Strong organization, with experience of creating and running processes.
• Strong research and analytical skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in an in-house legal department.
• Experience in the cybersecurity industry.
