The role

Island is hiring a Product Support Engineer in Tel Aviv to help customers and the sales team with its Enterprise Browser. You answer technical questions, troubleshoot problems and keep the product working at every stage of the customer relationship. The company wants someone who cares a great deal about customers and is keen to become an expert in its technology. You should be able to work outside normal hours when needed.

What you will do

  • Support enterprise customers by email, phone and chat, responding quickly to questions and problems.
  • Learn the products and how they connect with customers' systems well enough to give effective solutions and guidance.
  • Work with development, QA and other teams to escalate and resolve critical issues.
  • Record customer conversations, solutions and best practices in a knowledge base for internal and external use.
  • Feed what you learn from customers back into product improvements.
  • Work independently and proactively within agreed SLAs and performance measures.

What you need

  • 5 or more years of support work dealing directly with enterprise customers.
  • 5 or more years of proven troubleshooting and problem solving.
  • 3 or more years at a startup, and the ability to do well at a fast, agile pace.
  • Deep knowledge of network and security products such as Okta, Zscaler and SIEM systems.
  • Expertise in Windows, Mac and Linux.
  • Strong skills in debugging Windows applications, and a good grasp of HTTP.
  • 5 or more years of IT tasks such as installing virtual machines and configuring environments.
  • 5 or more years with support methods and tools such as Confluence, Salesforce and Jira.
  • 3 or more years with logging systems such as Coralogix and Sentry.

Nice to have

  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or something related.
