About Ulpan La-Inyan
Coming to live in Israel in 2007, Ami Steinberger quickly picked up on the need for an ulpan that would focus on building Hebrew conversation skills, so he founded Ulpan La-Inyan.
Enlisting the method developed by Dr. Paul Pimsleur, Ulpan La-Inyan’s curriculum stages a Hebrew conversation between a couple of Israelis, teaching the student – seamlessly and intuitively – all they need in order to take an active role in this conversation with correct pronunciation and grammar. Although Ulpan La-Inyan stresses oral communication over written, reading and writing are taught as well.
Our program consists of 6 levels, from beginners to advanced. We guarantee that by the end of a course, each regularly-attending student will have seen a marked improvement in their ability to communicate in Hebrew.
Course tuition includes the Ulpan La-Inyan workbook, as well as access to our online Student Center, which hosts audio recordings, quizzes and games to help students further hone the material encountered in class.
Ulpan La-Inyan’s Method
Ulpan La-Inyan’s core methodology draws from that developed by Dr. Paul Pimsleur:
* Core vocabulary – focusing on the words and phrases you really need
* Anticipation – keeping students on their toes with the element of surprise
* Graduated interval recall – optimizing long-term memory by sticking to a scientifically-proven schedule of material recall
* Organic learning – learning contextually, holistically, participating in practical dialogues
Our small-group classes offer the best value, combining personal attention with interactive conversation with several people.
